Play! is a lightweight, rapid web application development platform utilizing Java for application development.

Traditionally, Play! is distributed as a zip file with everything needed to get started packed inside on any platform with a JVM. This is okay, but not quite convienent if you’re getting started on the OSX platform, so I bundled a simple OSX installer for Play! that puts things into slightly more convenient places. It’s tested with OSX 10.5 and 10.6, and the installer targets 10.5 as a platform. Play isn’t compatible with the Java installed by default with 10.4 (Play! requires 1.5 or above).
